The end of the year is bringing about rumors of coaching changes in the Women’s Foil and Men’s Foil squads.
In the wake of the resignation of David Sach as High Performance Director, Fencing.Net has learned of impending coaching changes that impact the Men’s and Women’s Foil national teams.
Sources close to the teams report that Amgad Khazbak will be named the national coach for Women’s Foil and Greg Massialas the national coach for Men’s Foil. The national office for USA Fencing would not confirm the coaching changes when reached for comment.
The changes come following a World Championships in which the men’s foil team placed 11th in the team event, it’s worst finish since March of this year.

Greg Massialas will be traveling to London and coaching the men’s foil fencers at the London Olympic Test Event, to be held November 26th and 27th.
The national office would not confirm the coaching changes, but confirmed that changes were being made and that Massialas and Khazbak were people that had been identified as targets for the position.
